Beth crosby
Beth Crosby is a writing coach. She supports women who use storytelling to connect with their ideal clients.
After working as a professional journalist and copy editor, she worked in several businesses and industries, often as an administrative assistant. She learned from management and customers how her personal interest in people builds relationships.
Beth understands that the means and tone of communication are as important as the words. She also grasps concepts of different businesses and disciplines. She thrives on working in reciprocal relationships with people she likes and respects.
After the company she worked for in 2004 closed as a result of bankruptcy, Beth started a few companies, including a successful pet sitting business with clients who often became friends.
She closed the pet sitting business after she was diagnosed with kidney failure and returned to her love of empowering writers as an editor. She reviewed and helped writers improve manuscripts, articles, and posts to present clear, correct, concise, and consistent materials. But she knew she wanted to be more supportive and less critical.
Now she coaches women to convey their qualifications and experiences through storytelling to resonate with their ideal clients. This manifests in women embracing their unique abilities instead of feeling ashamed about how they got to this stage of their lives and careers. They feel more confident and capable in telling their stories and serving their ideal clients.
Many women hide behind their stories because they didn’t take the same path as others. Beth’s message is that each woman’s unique education and experience makes her ideally suited to her best clients.
You can keep up with “Editor Beth” in her monthly column for YC Magazine in York County, South Carolina, called “Wordsmithing.” She also manages a Facebook group, “The Writers Circle Group,” where she shares tips, writing contests, and live Wednesday interviews with professionals.

Copy Editing
Ensuring accuracy and empowering writers to share work that is remembered for its quality and clarity, not its errors, is what sets Beth apart.
Beth performs a final step in preparing manuscripts, articles, posts, and etc., for publication, which involves verifying facts and ensuring your text is clear, concise, correct and consistent.
After she and a writer determine they are a good fit, Beth requests a sample from the work to be edited and provides a quote based on the editing necessary. Each project is individually assessed.

Writing Coach
As a professional copy editor, Beth supports women to connect and build relationships with their potential clients through well-written articles. Through her curiosity and interest in others, she learns what sets her clients apart.
During the initial session, ladies tell Beth about their lives through conversation. Beth understands and weaves together the common factors that uniquely qualify her clients to reach their ideal audiences.
Then she regularly meets with clients to plan articles and posts that the client will write within a week.
Clients return the work for review. Then Beth makes changes and recommendations and returns the post or article for the client to refine and publish within the week.
Beth also works with writers who are stuck at the beginning, middle, or end of a project. She offers a single coaching call to get new and established writers started and writing support calls to motivate her clients to get their stories on paper.
